She loves this version too - she plays it over and over and over again sometimes. She is a huge Scrabble fan - she had the Deluxe fancy eidtion and everything of the real game. Great way to spend some extra time - makes you think.
-- That feature is lacking from the "Scrabble Complete," the subject of this review. I recieved it and it works fine, but it is not nearly as good for my purposes as the "Champion Edition." If I had it to do over, I would order the "Champion Edition" instead. That one has "Best Plays" option so I can check my word against others to see if I chose the highest scoring word. I would have thought "Complete" would mean it has all options, but apparently not.
You can always F2 it and it immediately goes to the menu. It comes up eventually. Immediately after the install, I experienced the black window, etc that other reviewers have mentioned. Be patient, wait. Getting into the game after the install is much easier.
I recommend Scrabble CD. I really enjoy playing on the computer with Maven. I'd owned Scrabble CD for two years after being given one for a birthday--then I moved, and I couldn't find my CD. I looked and looked, and I finally ordered a new one. It is a mini-vacation, takes me away from everyday and puts things into perspective.
